Scion Staffing is leading the search for a Litigation Associate Attorney on behalf of a respected and established law firm in Encino, California. This fully onsite, direct hire opportunity is ideal for an attorney who is ready to take ownership of a diverse caseload while collaborating with a highly regarded litigation team. The firm offers meaningful courtroom experience, hands-on client interaction, a collegial culture, and excellent opportunities for long-term professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions independently.
  • Manage all aspects of written discovery.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, trial, and settlement.
  • Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Perform legal research and provide strategic recommendations on complex litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys on high-value and complex cases.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 3-6 years of civil litigation experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling depositions, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and case management abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a legal team.
  • Experience in intellectual property, environmental, or ADA litigation is a plus but not required.

  • Base salary of $140,000-$160,000, depending on experience
