We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation matters from inception to conclusion, including trial work, arbitration, mediation, and settlements. They will also be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and briefs, and providing legal advice to our clients. This role requires a strong ability to handle a high volume of work, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of litigation cases from inception to conclusion, including trial work, arbitration, mediation, and settlements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, preparing clients for depositions, and conducting and defending depositions.
• Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or at arbitration and mediation proceedings.
• Provide legal advice to clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Collaborate with legal team members to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments affecting our clients and our practice areas.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on business and civil litigation.
• Proven experience as a litigator, litigation associate, trial associate, or in a similar role.
• Proficient in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience in brief writing.
• Experience with pleadings, discovery, and other aspects of the litigation process.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work and work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
• Proficiency in using legal research software and other legal technology.
