Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Job Description

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and work closely with senior attorneys on complex matters.
• Draft and argue dispositive, discovery, and other substantive motions.
• Conduct legal research and apply statutes, regulations, and case law to complex fact patterns.
• Take and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare witnesses and participate in hearings, conferences, settlement negotiations, and trials.
• Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and overall case risk.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Handle matters independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team.
• Maintain strong attention to detail, professional judgment, and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts bar admission in good standing required.
• 2+ years of hands-on insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong civil litigation background with experience in personal injury, professional liability, business, insurance, or related matters.
• Demonstrated experience with depositions, motion practice, discovery, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and case-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, insurers, experts, and colleagues.
• Admission to Rhode Island, New Hampshire, or Connecticut bar is a plus.
