The Sacramento office of our client is seeking a talented Employment Litigation Associate with 2-6 years of experience in employment litigation. This role involves handling a diverse range of employment litigation matters, with a particular focus on California wage-hour class action claims and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases.
Key responsibilities include managing and litigating employment-related claims, drafting and responding to discovery, initial pleadings, and other case-related documentation, preparing and arguing motions in state and federal courts, taking and defending depositions with confidence and professionalism, working collaboratively with the legal team and independently to develop and implement effective case strategies, and maintaining a high level of client service while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications include a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, active membership in the California State Bar, 2-6 years of experience in employment litigation with a strong emphasis on California wage-hour class actions and PAGA cases, excellent academic credentials and a proven track record of success in litigation, strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
