Litigation Attorney

A highly respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its established team in Houston. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned legal professional ready to step into a high-impact role handling sophisticated matters while contributing to the continued growth of a thriving practice.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of litigation experience, strong courtroom presence, and a proven ability to independently manage complex cases from inception through resolution. Experience in first-party property insurance litigation is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload from intake through settlement, trial, or resolution
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
• Analyze insurance policies, claims files, correspondence, and supporting documentation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal filings
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic case approaches
• Negotiate favorable settlements with opposing counsel and carriers
• Provide clear legal guidance and exceptional client service
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Support business development efforts and cultivate new client relationships

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active bar license in good standing
• 10+ years of litigation experience
• First-party property insurance experience preferred
• Strong negotiation, trial, and case management skills
• Demonstrated ability to generate business and build client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
