A bit about us:We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our high-performing Legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of litigation matters, ranging from general liability and commercial litigation to insurance defense and admiralty law. This position will involve representing clients in federal and state court, conducting legal research, preparing for and conducting trials, and handling appeals.

Job DetailsResponsibilities:
1. Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Develop and implement litigation strategies in coordination with clients and other attorneys.
3. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in the preparation of cases.
4. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
5. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation cases.
6. Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
7. Handle insurance defense litigation, including analyzing claims, evaluating insurance policies, and advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
8. Handle admiralty and maritime law matters, including disputes related to shipping or maritime contracts.
9. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the legal process.
10. Stay updated with changes in law, regulations, and court decisions affecting the practice.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in litigation, including experience in insurance defense, general liability, commercial litigation, and admiralty law.
4. Demonstrated experience in federal court litigation and appeals.
5. Strong trial experience and excellent courtroom presence.
6. Proficiency in legal research, including use of LexisNexis, Westlaw, or other legal research tools.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal strategies clearly and persuasively.
8. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
