Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with at least 3 days per week in the office. Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles area and available for in-person depositions, hearings, and trials.
Note: Candidates must be active members of the California State Bar in good standing and have 3+ years of civil litigation experience. You should have independently taken and defended multiple depositions, handled law and motion work, and developed strong legal research and writing skills.

Job Description
- Manage substantive aspects of civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through trial preparation.
- Draft complaints, answers, briefs, motions, oppositions, and other persuasive legal filings.
- Develop and execute written discovery strategies and respond to complex discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and other key participants.
- Research and argue law and motion issues independently.
- Work closely with experts and develop evidence supporting liability, damages, coverage, and other case issues.
- Prepare matters for mediation, hearings, arbitration, and trial.
- Develop case strategy and collaborate with attorneys and support professionals on complex plaintiff-side matters.
- Maintain direct involvement in cases involving insurance claims, property losses, wildfire disputes, mass torts, and related litigation.
Qualifications
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
- Multiple independently handled depositions, including taking and defending depositions.
- Independent law and motion experience.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills.
- Ability to provide at least three substantive legal writing samples during the interview process.
- Plaintiff-side litigation, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, property damage, wildfire, or mass tort experience strongly preferred.
- Recent hands-on litigation experience required; candidates whose experience has primarily involved case management without deposition or motion practice are unlikely to be a fit.
