Busy General Practice Firm in Essex County/ Newark is actively seeking an experienced Civil Litigation/Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing law practice.
Job Type: Full-time. Work Location: In person
Experience: legal practice: at least 3-5 years (Required)
License/Certification: NJ Bar (NJ Required; NY Bar is a plus)
Skills and Qualifications:
Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Civil Litigation/Personal Injury
Ability to handle a high caseload
Detail-oriented, organized, and quick
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; Portuguese is a plus
Experience with Landlord/Tenant, Personal Injury, Workmen's Compensation, Family Law (divorce, child support, custody, TRO, etc.), and other areas of law
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent public speaking skills
Ability to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategies
MUST have a driver's license and be computer literate.
Attorneys' Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Civil Litigation Representation
Conduct interviews, depositions, and trials
Drafting and submitting motions, complaints, answers, forms, and briefs in addition to other court/client correspondence
Conducting complex legal research and case-specific analysis
Salary: Six-figure salary Pay: Starting at $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience. Please submit your salary requirements to be considered. References will be checked if you are considered for the position.
