    Description

    We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have an Ohio Litigation Attorney opportunity with our client, a dynamic and growing law firm committed to excellence in legal services. They are seeking motivated attorneys licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, and/or West Virginia to join their creditors’ rights practice. As a respected national firm headquartered in Phoenix, they maintain offices in Solon and Fort Wright, with plans to open an office in West Virginia soon.

    The Litigation Attorney is responsible for below specific duties.

    Your specific duties will include:
    • Representing clients at litigation hearings throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
    • Providing legal guidance and partnering with clients on a wide range of issues to help achieve business objectives while minimizing legal risks and liability.
    • Drafting briefs and motions, including appellate briefs.
    • Managing a large caseload.
    • Preparing motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
    • Communicating effectively with clients and business partners to drive alignment and achieve desired outcomes.
    • Managing and coordinating with team members.

    Required qualifications for the position include:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
    • Admission to the practice of law in Ohio, with a strong preference for additional admissions in Kentucky, West Virginia, and/or Indiana, or the ability to obtain admission through waiver immediately.
    • Admission to the U.S. District Courts in all states where licensed, or the ability to obtain such admission.
    • One to five years of litigation experience in real estate, foreclosure, and/or other creditors’ rights practice areas.
    • Practical working knowledge of modern technology and the ability to use it effectively.
    • Knowledge of bankruptcy matters involving secured creditors.
    Pay Rate Range: $80,000 100,000+ DOE, plus full benefits

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
