Litigation Defense Attorney

Talis Group is partnering with a highly respected, mid-sized Litigation Defense firm in Louisville known for its strong trial record and reputation for excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Associate Attorney to join a collaborative team and work on complex, high-impact cases.

This role offers exposure to a diverse defense practice, including Insurance Defense, Products Liability, Premises Liability, and Construction Litigation, along with the chance to build meaningful courtroom experience and client relationships.

Highlighted Duties:

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Develop and execute effective defense strategies
• Counsel clients on legal rights, risks, and case developments
• Conduct legal research and stay current on applicable laws and rulings
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions
• Handle discovery, including depositions and witness interviews
• Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements
• Represent clients in court appearances and proceedings
• Maintain consistent client communication and provide status updates

Highlighted Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 2+ years of litigation experience (defense preferred)
• Trial experience is a plus
• Active Kentucky license in good standing (required)
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven negotiation and advocacy skills
