Our firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in a temp to hire role. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our litigation attorneys by providing comprehensive administrative and legal support. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal process, litigation procedures, and excellent attention to detail. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive litigation support including drafting and proofreading legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
2. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
3. Assist in the preparation of case summaries, materials for discovery, and depositions.
4. Coordinate and manage complex case schedules, deadlines, and case management tasks.
5. Organize and maintain case files and documentation in a systematic manner.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals.
7. Manage correspondence and communication on behalf of attorneys.
8. Assist in trial preparation including the organization of exhibits, witness coordination, and trial setup.
9. Ensure compliance with court rules and protocols in document preparation and filing.
10. Utilize legal software and technology tools for efficient case management and tracking.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in a professional setting, law firm experience preferred.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
3. Proficiency in legal research software and litigation support tools.
4. Exceptional knowledge of federal and state court rules, legal terminology, and legal document formatting.
5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
7. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
9. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
11. Familiarity with electronic filing systems and procedures.
