Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling a broad range of business disputes and litigation matters. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on active cases from inception through resolution while maintaining significant involvement in day-to-day case management. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Manage court filings and monitor case deadlines
  • Maintain case files and organize case-related materials
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, and litigation schedules
  • Assist with discovery, document production, and trial preparation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, vendors, and opposing counsel
  • Track deadlines and support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
  • Conduct administrative and case-management tasks necessary to keep matters moving efficiently

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of litigation legal assistant experience
  • Strong familiarity with litigation procedures and court filing requirements
  • Experience supporting attorneys through multiple stages of litigation
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and proofreading abilities
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Experience with document management and legal support technology

Requirements

  • Demonstrated litigation support experience in a law firm environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Professional and client-focused demeanor
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
