Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Legal Assistant for a global, highly respected law firm. This is a hybrid temporary opportunity based in Los Angeles, California (4 days onsite / 1 remote per week, not Fridays).
POSITION OVERVIEW
This Litigation Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation practice. The role supports case management, filings, calendaring, and client communications while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness. This is a critical coverage position supporting attorneys during a medical leave period, with the potential to extend based on workload.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents in State and Federal courts, including e-filing and case submissions
Maintain attorney calendars, deadline tracking, and case scheduling to ensure compliance with court timelines
Manage case files, conflict checks, document organization, and records management
Handle client communications, calls, mail, and confidential correspondence with professionalism and discretion
Track billable time and assist with accurate documentation for client billing
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong litigation support experience, including state and federal e-filing and docketing
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn firm-specific legal systems quickly
Ability to proofread, format, and prepare legal documents with accuracy and professionalism
Polished communication style with the ability to interact confidently with attorneys, clients, and staff
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a temporary, hourly role offering $47-$48 per hour, depending on experience. The position is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA (4 days onsite, 1 remote per week) with a 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule. This assignment is expected to last several weeks to several months and may extend based on workload needs.
