Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $110,000–$160,000, depending on experience

Overview

Our client, a highly respected and growing law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Beverly Hills office. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy litigation team in a collaborative, professional environment where your organizational skills, attention to detail, and litigation experience will be highly valued.

As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling complex matters. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and is committed to delivering exceptional support to both attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal materials.
  • Prepare and file electronic court filings in California state and federal courts.
  • Assist with opening new matters, conflicts checks, and file management.
  • Prepare Tables of Contents (TOCs), Tables of Authorities (TOAs), exhibits, trial binders, and other litigation materials.
  • Manage attorney calendars, monitor court deadlines, and maintain electronic docketing systems.
  • Organize and maintain both electronic and physical client files.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and attorney schedules.
  • Work closely with the accounting department on expense reports, billing, and monthly invoices.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
  • Provide administrative support on special projects and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a mid-sized or large law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of California and Federal court rules, procedures, and electronic filing.
  • Experience with docketing software such as Compulaw or Milana is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent proofreading, document formatting, and redlining skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple attorneys and competing priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
  • Trial preparation experience is a plus.
