Litigation ParalegalA leading and established regional litigation firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join its thriving Personal Injury practice group. This role is integral to managing complex cases from inception through resolution, focusing primarily on high-stakes litigation, medical record analysis, and detailed discovery coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about ensuring case compliance and providing superior support to the legal team.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Litigation Paralegal will manage critical aspects of the litigation lifecycle, including:Case Management & DiscoveryDiscovery Drafting: Prepare, draft, and finalize complex discovery requests and responses (Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admission) tailored to individual cases.Pleadings & Motions: Draft and manage legal documents, including petitions, notices, stipulations, and standard motions, ensuring meticulous accuracy for filing.File Management: Maintain comprehensive and organized physical and electronic case files, ensuring documents are indexed, Bates‑stamped, and easily accessible.Court Compliance: Diligently track and manage litigation deadlines, calendar hearings, and ensure timely filing and e‑filling of all documents with state and federal courts.Evidence & ResearchMedical Record Review: Conduct extensive review and summarization of complex medical records, billing statements, deposition transcripts, and expert reports to identify critical evidence, causation, and damages.Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact and communication link between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel.Fact Investigation: Assist attorneys with factual investigation, document collection, and the preparation of comprehensive case summaries and chronologies.QualificationsExperience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated paralegal experience, with significant focus on the personal injury, medical malpractice, or general civil litigation space.Education: Bachelor's Degree is required and Paralegal Certificate is preferred.Technical Proficiency:Expert proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.Experience utilizing legal practice management/RMIS software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar).Proficiency with electronic filing (e‑filing) systems.Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication (written and verbal), and analytical skills.
