Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our elite commercial litigation team.  This is a high-profile firm with gorgeous offices located in SW Austin and downtown Dallas along with offices nationwide. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment handling sophisticated, high-exposure disputes. The successful candidate will work alongside attorneys on every phase of complex commercial litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal, supporting matters involving multi-million-dollar business disputes and other complex commercial cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of complex commercial litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
  • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices, subpoenas, and other legal documents in both state and federal courts.
  • Manage all aspects of document discovery, including collection, organization, review, production, and privilege logs.
  • Coordinate and oversee large-scale document productions using litigation support and eDiscovery platforms.
  • Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation databases to ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
  • Conduct factual investigations and legal research to support case strategy and trial preparation.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials, including scheduling witnesses, court reporters, videographers, and experts.
  • Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness files, demonstrative evidence, trial notebooks, and electronic presentation materials.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and vendors.
  • Review and analyze business records, financial documents, contracts, and other complex evidence.
  • Monitor litigation deadlines and proactively identify upcoming tasks and potential issues.
  • Assist with appellate filings and record preparation when necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while managing highly sensitive client matters.

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with substantial experience supporting complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, filing procedures, and litigation processes.
  • The firm is looking for a self-starter who is enthusiastic, takes initiative, takes pride in details and presentation, and works well with others in a team environment.
