Sparks Group has partnered up with a prominent national personal injury and medical malpractice law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its highly impactful Child Victims’ Act (CVA)/Sexual Abuse Department. This is an opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized legal team handling complex, meaningful plaintiff-side litigation that makes a direct difference in clients’ lives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented litigation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage a dynamic caseload while supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation and trial preparation. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile, emotionally meaningful cases within a collaborative and mission-driven team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and support complex plaintiff-side litigation matters from inception through trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate and manage court filings in both federal and state courts, including multi-state jurisdictions
  • Track and manage court deadlines, litigation calendars, and client-related deadlines across multiple time zones
  • Prepare attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, and case-related meetings
  • Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
  • Maintain organized case files and proactively manage shifting priorities and active caseloads
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside parties

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience required
  • Experience within catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, or sexual abuse/CVA litigation strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with federal and state court e-filing systems required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel
  • Experience with Filevine or similar case management platforms such as Clio, Needles, or Time Matters is a plus
