Litigation Paralegal – Bankruptcy Experience Required
Winston-Salem, NC or Raleigh, NC | On-Site | Full-Time
A well-established legal team is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience and strong Bankruptcy background to support attorneys in complex commercial bankruptcy and litigation matters.
This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Job Duties:
- Draft, format, proofread, and file legal documents in state, federal, and appellate courts (CM/ECF, eCourts)
- Support attorneys in commercial bankruptcy and litigation case management
- Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and docketing systems
- Assist with discovery, subpoenas, and trial preparation (exhibits, notebooks, hearing binders)
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside counsel
- Conduct legal research as assigned
- Coordinate mailings, filings, court runs, and administrative support tasks
- Prepare and enter billing/time entries accurately and consistently (required)
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of paralegal experience
- Bankruptcy and/or civil litigation experience required
- Strong knowledge of Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
- Experience with CM/ECF and eCourts filing systems
- Must have prior experience with legal billing and time entry systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- NC Notary (preferred or willing to obtain)
