Position Overview
An established legal practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling personal injury litigation. This position is ideal for a paralegal who can independently manage case-related tasks, maintain critical deadlines, and assist attorneys throughout discovery, settlement, and trial preparation.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage legal documents, medical records, court filings, and multiple active case deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Draft and coordinate responses to discovery requests.
- Obtain and track medical records and billing documentation associated with client treatment.
- Communicate with medical providers to confirm and document outstanding account balances.
- Review medical records and prepare concise case summaries.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, subpoenas, jury instructions, and related materials.
- Maintain court calendars, litigation deadlines, hearings, and case milestones.
- Prepare settlement calculations, documentation, and agreements.
- Organize and maintain accurate case files and supporting documentation.
- Assist with court filings, calendaring, and other administrative functions related to litigation matters.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Litigation Paralegal.
- At least 2 years of experience working in personal injury law.
- Working knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and legal document preparation.
- Ability to independently prioritize assignments and meet court and case deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
