SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of five years of experience for our top-rated law firm client in their Chicago office.The ideal candidate will help the litigation teams with various tasks throughout the entire legal process, including gathering case materials, assisting at trials, and working on cases related to different areas of law like Products Liability, Mass Torts, Commercial Litigation, and Intellectual Property.What You'll DoProvide support for attorneys and paralegals on case teams in the preparation, filing, and service of papers for use in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trialOrganize and maintain the gathering, tracking, and production of documents to be reviewed and produced in cases, using the firm's databases, and organize and track incoming document productionsOrganize and maintain the pleadings, discovery materials, and other files in casesPerform manual and electronic searches for documents for use in court proceedings and assemble documents needed for use in court proceedingsCoordinate with providers for the retrieval of medical recordsPreparation of medical chronologies upon review of recordsPrepare subpoenas, deposition notices, record summaries, cast of characters and chronology of eventsPrepare and organize exhibits for motions and /or depositionsCreate and maintain databases for case and document managementPrepare spreadsheets and otherwise track discovery requestsOrganize and supervise document productions in conjunction with Practice Technology professionals and vendorCoordinate in and out-of-town depositions, as well as, handle all logistics for any appearancesPrepare and organize trial notebooks and demonstrative exhibitsAttend and assist at trialPerform other tasks within software programs, such as iManage, Outlook, Microsoft Suite, TextMap, Relativity, Westlaw, and LexisCoordinate outside vendor services for casesMeet firm's billable hours' requirementWilling to work in office as needed by case teamsOther duties as may be assigned by attorneys and senior paralegalsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree, requiredExperience with document review platforms, such as Relativity and TextMap, is requiredExperience in trial preparation and general trial support, is requiredFamiliarity with retrieval of medical records from providers and preparing medical chronologies, is strongly preferredFundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatEffective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to work on case teamsExcellent discipline and organizational, planning, analytical, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily from a variety of sourcesStrong attention to detailCite checking experience, is a plusAbility to work a project independently and shows initiative in asking questions when neededAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentialityCommitted to work outside of normal business hours and travel as needed, which may be extensive and include weekends or holidays#J-18808-Ljbffr
