Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage document-intensive matters, e-discovery workflows, court filings, and trial preparation. This role requires working closely with counsel, clients, and vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, from intake through trial and appeal.
  • Prepare, draft, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related court documents.
  • Manage electronic and hard-copy document review and production, including Bates stamping/numbering, redaction, and quality control.
  • Coordinate and execute e-discovery workflows: collection, processing, review, and production using review platforms and tools.
  • File pleadings and other court documents via CM/ECF and manage service of process and subpoena service logistics.
  • Prepare privilege logs, maintain discovery databases, and track confidentiality designations.
  • Create and maintain electronic and physical trial exhibits and demonstratives; assist with trial binders and courtroom technology setup.
  • Draft deposition summaries, coordinate deposition logistics, and assist with witness preparation.
  • Maintain calendars and dockets, track deadlines, and manage court appearances and filing schedules.
  • Manage case files and document repositories using systems such as iManage and NetDocuments; update case management systems (e.g., Clio).
  • Run legal research and fact-checking using LexisNexis, Westlaw and PACER as needed.
  • Assist with billing and timekeeping entries and coordinate with vendors and outside counsel on document review and e-discovery matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and vendors in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate, Associate/Bachelors degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with litigation tasks: pleadings and motions drafting, discovery requests/responses, subpoena drafting/service, privilege logs, deposition summaries, and trial preparation.
  • Strong working knowledge of e-discovery and document review processes; experience with document review platforms is highly desirable.
  • Nice-to-have technical skills: Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, Clearwell, Summation.
  • Proficiency with legal research and filing tools: LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER and CM/ECF e-filing.
  • Proficiency with document management and productivity tools: Adobe Acrobat (redaction, Bates stamping), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, iManage, NetDocuments.
  • Experience with case management, timekeeping and billing systems (e.g., Clio or comparable platforms).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional ethics.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., NALA, NFPA) and prior trial experience are a plus.
