Litigation Paralegal

Job Description

  • Organize and maintain case files, including managing electronic and physical records.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
  • Coordinate and manage case schedules, including deadlines and court appearances.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
  • Review and summarize legal documents, depositions, and trial transcripts.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining billing records and tracking case expenses.

A successful Litigation Paralegal should have:

  • 3+ years of being a Litigation Paralegal
  • Experience in energy and oil & gas litigation matters
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and court document preparation.
  • Experience with legal research tools and resources.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented approach to handling complex legal documents and case files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
