We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our Jackson office. This role supports litigation attorneys across a wide range of matters and requires a highly organized self-starter who can manage complex cases from intake to resolution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling substantive litigation tasks, managing large volumes of documents, coordinating with multiple attorneys, and taking ownership of matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, settlement, and post judgment matters.
- Prepare, organize, and manage pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, exhibits, and production materials under attorney supervision.
- Coordinate and manage document production, including Bates labeling, redactions, and secure delivery to opposing counsel.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness files, deposition summaries, and trial binders.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files in firm document management systems.
- Work with litigation support teams and vendors on Relativity databases, document hosting, archiving, and cost management.
- Track and manage critical deadlines, court filings, and compliance with local, state, and federal court rules.
- Coordinate logistics for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors.
- Assist with matter close out, including record retention, file transfers, and coordination of physical and electronic materials.
