Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively across teams and delivering exceptional client service.Position SummaryThe Litigation Paralegal will provide organizational and practice‑specific assistance to attorneys in the department in preparing cases from onset through post‑trial, including related research and analysis. Qualified candidates demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while working in an organized, efficient manner.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post‑trialOversee organization, maintenance, and appropriate utilization of documents and other case‑related materials, including maintenance of client‑presentable work areas and case roomsAssist and manage the discovery process, prepare for depositions, propound and respond to written discovery, and prepare for expert discoveryOversee and conduct document reviews and productions; prepare documentation regarding criteria changes; track and report on review progress and resultsPerform analytical tasks, prepare witness interview memoranda, review and summarize documents, deposition transcripts, and create and use substantive coding toolsAssist with basic legal research, including locating cases, statutes, and regulatory materials; conduct fact research on internet and private search engines, such as Westlaw and LexisAssist with law and motion practice, assemble motion papers and exhibits, coordinate filings of pleadings and briefs, and ensure proper serviceDraft common pleadings, motions, notices and other court filingsEnsure compliance with federal and state rules of procedure and evidence for document format, content, filing, etc.; perform and oversee authority and fact cite‑checking; confirm case quotes, proofread briefs and other legal documentsAssist and manage trial preparations, create trial notebooks, identify and organize exhibits, coordinate witness schedules, maintain trial calendars, and communicate effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staffAssist in preparation of post‑trial filings including briefing, motions for costs and sanctions, and organize the case for appeal if necessaryMaintain timely and accurate time‑keeping records on a daily basisAssist with other department activities as needed and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesAbility to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staffAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environmentDemonstrated attention to detail, reliability, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to learn new technologyExcellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervisionSkilled at drafting clear and concise memoranda, detailed fact summaries, pleadings and other documentsFlexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demandsPosition periodically requires off‑site work at a war room or the courthouse when the case goes to trialEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor's Degree or Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience consideredCertified Paralegal a plusMinimum of 10 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Litigation practice areaExceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quicklyTrial experience, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation and management, knowledge of subpoena preparation, experience working with judicial assistants and trial presentation vendors, experience assisting attorneys in the courtroomComputer proficiency in Windows‑based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document managementProficiency with E‑filing and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Opus 2 and Adobe AcrobatTechnologyComputer proficiency in Windows‑based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document managementProficiency with E‑filing and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Opus 2 and Adobe AcrobatDemonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environmentFamiliarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate them responsibly into day‑to‑day workflows to enhance daily work tasks as appropriate and/or directedProactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovationExpected Pay Range For This Position Is$48.68 to $54.49 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
