Looking for an experienced litigation paralegal who is self-motivated, intelligent, team-oriented, goal driven, and is detail oriented.
The ideal candidate would undertake the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
· Draft correspondence to potential targets, attorneys, courts, third parties, etc.
· Maintain up-to-date understanding of state and federal rules of civil procedure and ensure compliance with individual court standing orders and local rules
· Draft, edit, and e-file pleadings (State and Federal Court)
· Docketing daily trial schedules and deadlines
· Prepare initial drafts of discovery to propound and discovery responses (State and Federal Court)
· Manual and electronic document reviews
· Prepare hearing, deposition, mediation and trial notebooks and exhibits
· Maintain attorney calendars
· Schedule mediations, depositions, court reporters/videographer, conference calls, etc.
· E-filing in multi-state and federal court jurisdictions
Experience & Qualifications
· The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years litigation/trial experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel) required
· Proficient in ECF and Texas E-filing system
· Positive attitude, great interpersonal skills, committed to their work and pro-active
