Description Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, innovative, and customer-centric company? Come and join the growing Litigation & Regulatory Operations team at Amazon. We are looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to work with attorneys and manage complex antitrust matters and government regulatory investigations, as well as other complex litigation matters such as IP infringement, commercial disputes, and employment disputes. A key component of this role is leveraging and advancing AI-driven solutions to improve legal operations. You will be expected to design and implement AI solutions using Amazon services, including Amazon Kiro and Amazon Quick, to automate workflows, enhance data analysis, and drive operational efficiency across the team. Key job responsibilities - Conduct fact-finding, data analysis, and develop a thorough understanding of case issues and claims, utilizing AI tools to accelerate research and identify patterns across large datasets - Identify relevant custodians and interview internal witnesses - Draft legal hold notices and collect data from various tools and business partner teams - Organize voluminous case materials using Amazon's internal database software programs and AI-assisted document management solutions - Manage outside counsel on data requests and collaborate with eDiscovery vendors on document collections and productions, including AI-driven review platforms - Schedule large numbers of depositions and support deposition preparation - Update budgets and track legal spend - Provide end-to-end legal support for litigation matters from inception to closure, including discovery, summary judgment work, and hearing preparation - Manage alternative legal service providers for processing high-volume pre-litigation legal disputes (subpoenas, demands, arbitrations, etc.) - Design and implement AI solutions using Amazon services (Amazon Kiro and Amazon Quick) to automate workflows and enhance data analysis - Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools into existing legal processes and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deploy scalable, effective solutions - Drive best practices - including AI adoption and workflow optimization - and serve as practice group liaison within the Litigation & Regulatory team A day in the life No two days are the same in this role. You might start your morning using AI-powered tools like Amazon Quick to research and organize case materials for an active investigation, then shift to coordinating with eDiscovery vendors on an AI-assisted document review and production. After lunch, you could be interviewing an internal witness, prototyping a new AI workflow in Amazon Kiro to streamline legal hold processes, or managing outside counsel requests. You'll regularly collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders - attorneys, finance team members, engineers, and business partners - to solve challenges creatively, explore new AI capabilities, and streamline processes for efficiency. Some days may involve appearing on behalf of Amazon at small claims hearings in Canada or the U.S. About the team The Litigation & Regulatory Operations team at Amazon is a dynamic and growing group that supports the company's legal needs across a wide range of complex matters. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
