Job Description

We are partnering with a nationally recognized litigation firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing Los Angeles office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys managing complex cases from inception through trial.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout the life cycle of civil litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and electronically file documents in both California state and federal courts.
  • Organize, review, and maintain case files, evidence, and litigation materials.
  • Coordinate document collection, review, and production during the discovery process.
  • Conduct legal and case-related research.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Assist with deposition preparation, witness coordination, exhibit preparation, and trial notebooks.
  • Prepare exhibits, witness binders, and supporting documentation for hearings and trial.
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules, filing deadlines, and internal case management procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures and electronic filing requirements.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active litigation matters in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document/case management software.
  • Associate's Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred.
  • Experience in insurance coverage, first-party property, commercial litigation, or complex civil litigation is a plus.
