Litigation Paralegal Mid-Level
Location: Wilmington, Delaware Hybrid (4 days on-site)
Salary: $75,000 $85,000
Classification: Non-Exempt

Our growing client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Wilmington office. This is a strong opportunity for a mid-level paralegal with 3 5 years of experience who has developed solid litigation fundamentals and wants to continue building a long-term paralegal career.
The role supports attorneys throughout the full litigation lifecycle, with a particular focus on court filings, discovery, deposition preparation, fact and cite checking, eDiscovery, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large amounts of information, and able to manage deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
The position follows a 4-day onsite/1-day remote hybrid schedule, with flexibility to work onsite five days when business or case needs require. During the first three months of training, the position will be onsite five days per week.
Typical hours are 9:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m. The role generally requires approximately 45 55 hours per week, with the potential for 60 70 hours during active trial periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
  • Prepare and coordinate court filings in state and federal courts.
  • Assist with pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related court documents.
  • Support deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits, documents, research, and case materials.
  • Perform cite checking, fact checking, case research, and proofreading of legal documents.
  • Assist with discovery and eDiscovery workflows, including data organization, document review, productions, and privilege logs.
  • Use Relativity or comparable litigation-support technology to organize and analyze case information.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, chronologies, key documents, court papers, and other trial materials.
  • Conduct research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, court websites, and internet-based research resources.
  • Maintain organized and accurate client and case files.
  • Track litigation deadlines and proactively communicate upcoming requirements to case teams.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, legal technology teams, and other business services professionals.
  • Manage multiple assignments and changing priorities with limited supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client and case information.
  • Mentor junior team members when appropriate.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 5 years of relevant paralegal/legal support experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience within a law firm or professional services environment required.
  • Strong hands-on litigation experience and understanding of the overall litigation lifecycle.
  • Court filing experience required.
  • Experience supporting deposition preparation, discovery, cite checking, fact checking, and trial preparation.
  • eDiscovery knowledge or experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Relativity or similar litigation databases is beneficial.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong research skills using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, court websites, and other research tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage significant amounts of case information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work additional hours when litigation and trial schedules require.
  • Flexibility to work onsite five days per week when needed.
  • References will be required for candidates selected as finalists.

Candidate Profile: This search is specifically focused on a mid-level career paralegal. Candidates currently attending law school, graduating from law school, or holding a Juris Doctor are not the target profile. Candidates with significantly more than the targeted 3 5 years of experience may also fall outside the intended level of the position. Relevant regulatory or compliance experience may be considered when accompanied by transferable litigation-support skills.
