ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Organize, manage and update companylitigation files/pleadings. Coordinate with outside legal counsel theidentification of witnesses, documents, and other relevant matters which arethe subject of litigation and/or administrative matters.Proofread pleadings, briefs and otherdocuments as required. Coordinate and prepare In-House Attorneys andfor company meetings, hearings, mediations and/or trials. As necessary, attend key depositions,mediations and trials as assigned.Coordinate and update various databases andthe management of e-discovery. Review, analyze and prepare responses todiscovery and assist in the investigation of facts and allegations involved indiscovery. Assist with preparing documents forproduction and witness files to be used at depositions or trials. Draft, edit and proofread cover letters,internal and administrative memos and documents. Perform searches in various litigation andpublic databases. Schedule and track depositions, filingdeadlines, etc. Assist with the creation and maintenance ofcase chronologies. Index and summarize documents anddepositions. Coordinate discovery and/or filings withcourts or government agencies. Perform legal and factual research. Assist with creation of privilege logs. Review outside counsel billings, trackagainst budgets, and distribute within the company.Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,AND ABILITIES:Demonstrate the ability to communicateclearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to provide quality communication toboth internal and external contacts, regarding matters of a routine naturerequiring ordinary tact and courtesy. Demonstrate ability to organize andprioritize work in an organized and professional manner. Ability to apply technical knowledge orguidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems byapplying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience. Strong attention to detail, includingsuperior spelling and grammar. Demonstrate ability to work effectively withothers in a cooperative manner to accomplish position functions and participatein department efforts. Ability to interact effectively andprofessionally with attorneys, company officials and colleagues. Demonstrate basic knowledge of Word, Excel,and PowerPoint. Demonstrate records management skills. Ability to travel or work overtime asnecessary.Must be able to balance multiple demands, attimes, with short time constraints.
