For more information on Dine Brands, visit the Company's website located at www.dinebrands.com.Job Location TypeHybridThe Litigation Paralegal will be primarily responsible for assisting attorneys with a wide range of dispute-related matters including demands, subpoenas, and regulatory, administrative, state, federal and arbitration matters and actions.The Litigation Paralegal will also support various compliance functions including, but not limited to, human resources, data privacy, and government affairs.Job Description:The Litigation Paralegal will perform the following duties & responsibilities:Conducting intake, docketing, calendaring, tracking deadlinesAdministering legal holds and discovery preparation, including document collectionDrafting letters and other legal correspondencesWorking cross-functionally to manage a large volume of matters (e.g., collaborate with Risk Management to ensure coverage and indemnification)Engaging with franchisees and other stakeholders professionally as neededAssisting the department with the reporting, tracking, and management of dataSupporting attorneys in other practice areas, including franchising and corporate transactional matters with various tasks such as preparation and production of franchise-related legal documents, due diligence associated with transactions, and corporate governanceTarget Salary $70k-$80k depending on experienceMinimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills2+ years applicable paralegal experience with majority in litigationFranchise experience a plusNotary public or willingness to become a notary public for the companyProficient in technology platforms, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as data management tools and platformsAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projectsStrong work ethic and positive attitudeDetail-oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving, and administrative skillsFlexible and able to work in a cross-functional team environmentAbility to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work independently and follow projects through to completion in a timely and efficient mannerWillingness to learn and be open to suggestions/ideas to improve productivity and efficiencySelf-starter with willingness to further develop skills as a paralegal and businesspersonExcellent communication (speaking, writing, and listening) skills.Minimum Education Requirements/Certifications/LicensesParalegal Certificate or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementDine Brands Global strongly supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, veteran status, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.
