Job Title: Employment Litigation Paralegal (Mid-to-Senior Level)

A mid-to-senior plaintiff-side employment paralegal supports attorneys by managing cases on behalf of employees facing wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage theft.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal (Mid-to-Senior Level) to advocate for workers' rights at our plaintiff-side law firm. In this role, you will lead the case management lifecycle from client intake through trial. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients who have experienced workplace injustice, ensuring their cases are meticulously organized, deadlines are met, and document productions are strategically managed.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and an opportunity to share in the firm's success through performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Intake & Care: Conduct initial interviews with prospective clients, gather background facts, and maintain empathetic, clear communication with current clients.
• Agency Filings: Draft and file administrative charges with the appropriate state agencies.
• Complex Discovery: Oversee extensive plaintiff-side discovery, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and detailed deficiency letters to defense counsel.
• Damages Calculations: Gather paystubs, tax records, and medical bills to calculate lost wages, emotional distress, and statutory penalties.
• Trial & Hearing Readiness: Lead trial preparation by organizing exhibit lists, preparing witness binders, drafting subpoenas, and providing high-level support in court.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and workflow oversight to junior paralegals and legal assistants within the practice group.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 7+ years of civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for plaintiff-side labor and employment law.
• Education: a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a bachelor’s degree.
• Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with plaintiff litigation strategies and employment frameworks
• Technical Skills: Mastery of e-discovery platforms, legal research databases (Westlaw), and case management software.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional empathy, strict adherence to client confidentiality, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage 50+ active files independently.
