Key Responsibilities
As our Litigation Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting the attorney and clients once a case proceeds to litigation. Responsibilities include:
Drafting and filing pleadings, discovery, and motions via e-filing.
Managing litigation calendars and ensuring compliance with statutes of limitation and court deadlines.
Preparing case files for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
Communicating regularly with clients to provide updates and support throughout their case.
Coordinating with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and medical providers.
Assisting with settlement negotiations and preparing settlement documents.
Maintaining case files in an organized and efficient manner.
Anticipating attorney and client needs to move cases forward effectively.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in personal injury law (plaintiff and defense experience strongly preferred).
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Strong knowledge of California state court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Professional, reliable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Compassionate client service skills and problem-solving mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 DOE, plus bonus potential based on firm performance.
Schedule:
Mon–Thurs: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fri: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (paid for 8 hours)
