Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Paralegal on behalf of a highly respected plaintiffs' litigation boutique known for handling sophisticated, high-impact civil litigation matters. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigation paralegal who can quickly integrate into an active case team and provide immediate support during a busy summer period. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and well-versed in state and federal litigation procedures.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Litigation Paralegal will provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all phases of active cases, assisting attorneys with document preparation, court filings, case management, and trial support. This role requires strong knowledge of California litigation procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting critical deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, organize, and manage litigation files throughout all phases of litigation

  • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents in California state and federal courts

  • Prepare and update Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA)

  • Coordinate and manage state and federal court e-filings while tracking deadlines and court requirements

  • Assist attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, document organization, and case management

  • Maintain accurate calendars, case files, and litigation support materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm

  • Strong experience with California state and federal court procedures and e-filing

  • Proficiency preparing Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA)

  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple active litigation matters

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Competitive hourly compensation of $55-$60/hour based on experience

  • Temporary assignment supporting summer litigation coverage

  • Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
