With over 20 published appellate opinions, HD Law Partners offers experienced, cost-effective advocacy across all areas of civil litigation.Role DescriptionThe Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing civil litigation matters from case intake through resolution. This full-time, on-site role is based in Tampa, FL and involves organizing case files, drafting and formatting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and correspondence. The paralegal will assist with docket management, calendaring deadlines, coordinating hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, and preparing trial notebooks and exhibit lists. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting factual and legal research, summarizing medical records, discovery responses, and depositions, as well as communicating with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel. The Litigation Paralegal will also help with filing documents in state and federal courts, maintaining litigation databases, and supporting attorneys with appellate matters as needed.QualificationsStrong litigation support skills, including case management, docketing, document organization, and trial preparation.Proficiency in drafting and editing pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and legal memoranda.Experience conducting factual and legal research using online legal research tools and court resources.Solid knowledge of civil litigation procedures and rules in Florida state and federal courts.Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with professional client and court-facing demeanor.Comfort with legal technology, including case management software, e-filing systems, and standard office applications.Previous experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant; insurance defense, business, or family law experience is a plus.Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
