The ideal candidate will have property insurance, insurance defense, plaintiff, and/or bad faith property litigation experience with Federal Court experience a plus. This is an in-office position. Must have working knowledge/experience with Word, Gmail, Westlaw, Adobe, and familiarity with Kofax (fka Nuance) and Clio preferred but training will be provided.Strong computer proficiencyVerbal and written communicationAbility to manage documentsSolid attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize assignments for multiple attorneysSolid character and judgmentHigh degree of professionalismAbility to keep confidential case and client mattersOffice-based with potential to work remotely while staying on task; litigation experience preferredJob requirements and responsibilitiesOrganize and summarize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable formatAnalyze and review case documents to assist in deposition, hearing, and trial preparation; legal research (prior use of Westlaw preferred)Conduct investigations and research into facts and material issues in the casesWork closely with clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matterAssist attorneys in drafting pleadings with corresponding exhibits, correspondence, subpoenas for records, disclosures and other motions under supervisionCoordinate attorney depositions, hearings, and related activities with other office personnel (court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel)Respond to Discovery Requests, including requests for production, admissions, and interrogatories; prepare discovery requests; monitor and obtain responses from opposing counselProcess pleadings, motions and correspondence (e-service and physical) and use the Florida e-filing portalPrepare materials in support of hearings and depositions; legal research (Westlaw preferred)Complete other duties as neededThis is a great chance to advance your career and help grow Mubarak, Sherif & Oladipo, PLLCCompensation and applicationThe salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 commensurate with experience.
