LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well-established Tampa law firm who is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting complex litigation matters, managing case files, and partnering closely with attorneys throughout every stage of the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain case files, including pleadings, discovery, exhibits, deposition materials, and evidence.
Draft and assist with legal documents such as motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses.
Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and analyses of statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal authorities.
Coordinate discovery efforts, including document collection, review, organization, and production.
Prepare attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Track deadlines and ensure timely court and administrative filings, including electronic filings.
Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
Assist with trial logistics, including travel arrangements, workspace setup, and document management.
Support overall case organization and workflow while helping ensure efficient file management and case progression.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent litigation paralegal experience.
Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures.
Experience handling litigation matters from intake through trial.
Strong discovery and e-discovery experience, including document review and production.
Experience with electronic filing systems and litigation support software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Bankruptcy experience is a plus.
Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed.
