Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This opportunity is open to both direct-hire and temp-to-hire candidates and offers the chance to work closely with attorneys in a collaborative, small-firm environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on every case.

The firm is looking for a highly organized, proactive paralegal who can manage a busy litigation caseload, support multiple attorneys, and serve as a key member of a close-knit legal team. Candidates with personal injury experience are strongly preferred.

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Fully onsite

Top Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of paralegal experience
  • Civil litigation experience is required
  • Plaintiff personal injury experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to support multiple attorneys and manage numerous active cases simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Paralegal Duties

  • Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation, from intake through trial
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents
  • Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, billing records, employment records, and other evidence
  • Prepare discovery responses and assist with document productions
  • Summarize medical records, depositions, and other case materials
  • Assist with depositions, mediations, expert discovery, and trial preparation
  • Maintain accurate electronic case files and litigation documentation

Litigation Calendaring & Case Management

  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor all court deadlines, filing deadlines, hearing dates, deposition schedules, and case milestones
  • Possess a strong understanding of California state court procedures and litigation deadlines
  • Track multiple active cases for three attorneys while ensuring deadlines are consistently met
  • Coordinate scheduling and case logistics throughout the life of each matter

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of paralegal experience
  • Civil litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic case management systems
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with attorneys and staff

Highly Preferred

  • Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
  • Trial preparation experience
  • Knowledge of California state court rules and procedures
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment
