Litigator - Austin

The Austin office of Naman Howell, an over 100-year-old Texas law firm, has an immediate opening for a Litigator to support administrative proceedings, sort spin-off litigation, and manage significant condemnation activity.This position will require significant work on complex electric and telecommunications regulatory matters for outstanding clients, including some of the largest utilities and infrastructure investors in the world.We offer competitive salaries with an attractive annual bonus plan, plus exemplary medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance, profit sharing/401(k), plus many other fringe benefits.Lateral attorneys are encouraged to apply. Associate attorneys are eligible for partnership consideration after 5 years of employment with the firm; credit may be granted dependent on previous experience.Position QualificationsExperience in handling administrative litigation matters, preferably in the electric or telecommunications industryDemonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in a timely and efficient mannerStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a succinct and understandable mannerDetail-oriented problem solver with ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing prioritiesSelf-starter with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlinesCollegial and collaborative with a client first mindsetPosition Requirements5+ years of relevant work experienceJuris Doctor (J.D.)
