Little Explorers Program Volunteer Arapahoe Libraries

Please note: This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.Arapahoe Libraries offers families a variety of high-quality early learning opportunities designed to help our youngest patrons learn, explore and build skills for future success.We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working with young children, ages 0–5, and their families. Volunteers will support our Little Explorers program at different library locations throughout the district.About Little ExplorersLittle Explorers is a hands-on, STEAM-based program for children ages 2–5. Volunteers help create a welcoming and engaging experience for children and their caregivers.As a Little Explorers volunteer, you will assist library staff with:Program check-inSetting up and cleaning up activitiesWelcoming children and familiesEngaging with families at activity stationsHelping the program run smoothly from start to finishSchedule & CommitmentLittle Explorers programs are offered monthly at various Arapahoe Libraries locations. Volunteer shifts are approximately three hours, typically:9 a.m.–12 p.m. or 1–4 p.m.Programs may take place on weekdays or weekends, depending on the library location and schedule.You HaveAn interest in working with young children and their familiesA friendly, positive and welcoming attitudeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to be organized, dependable and attentive to detailThe ability to work respectfully with people of all backgrounds and agesThe ability to communicate openly and effectively with library staffThe ability to travel to the library location where the program takes placeThe ability to successfully complete a background checkLocationsVolunteer opportunities may be available at:Eloise May Library1471 S.
