An exceptional family of four—soon to be five—is seeking a compassionate, engaging, and experienced Occupational Therapist/Educator to provide individualized support for their bright and lovable seven-year-old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The family is looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and life skills through a relationship-based approach.

Responsibilities
Provide individualized educational and developmental support tailored to the child's unique strengths and needs.
Utilize therapeutic and educational strategies to foster emotional regulation, executive functioning, social skills, and independence.
Implement play-based, child-led learning experiences that encourage engagement, confidence, and continued growth.
Support daily routines, homework, and educational enrichment.
Collaborate closely with parents and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure consistency across environments.
Create engaging activities that promote communication, sensory integration, problem-solving, and self-help skills.
Encourage outdoor play, community outings, and age-appropriate social experiences.
Maintain open communication with the family regarding progress, observations, and developmental goals.
Travel with the family on occasion as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Occupational Therapist, Special Educator, Child Development Specialist, or similarly qualified professional.
Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
DIR/Floortime experience, certification, or a strong working knowledge is highly preferred.
Warm, patient, calm, and highly engaging personality.
Passionate about relationship-based learning and supporting each child's individual developmental journey.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working within a private household environment.
Comfortable traveling occasionally with the family.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years of professional experience working with school-aged children.
Previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder required.
DIR/Floortime training or experience strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Excellent professional and personal references.
Schedule & Compensation
Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility based on the family's needs.
Limited travel throughout the year.
Competitive annual salary of $120,000–$130,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.
Private live-in accommodations provided.
