PURPOSE
Performs radiographic exams to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
â Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, which include positioning patient, adjusting equipment settings to obtain the best density, detail and contrast of the area being imaged and determining proper voltage and exposure.
â QC images once taken.
â Provides appropriate patient protection following prescribed safety standards.
â Notifies supervisor of equipment repair needs.
â Maintains compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements.
â Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
â Regular and dependable attendance.
â Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on ARC SharePoint.
â Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
â Maintains work area.
â Stocks room supplies.
â Attends required meetings and in-services.
â Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
Education and Experience
LMRT Education: Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology that meets the requirements for Texas certification of Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist.
Radiology Technologist Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
Experience: At least one year of related work experience preferred. Experience in digital radiography preferred (CR and /or DR). Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage. Experience working with all age groups.

Work Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday 10am-5pm, Friday 830am-1230pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-5pm
