Hours & Guarantee: 8 Hours/Day | 48 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Must be flexible for other shifts as needed)
Weekend & Call Requirements: Every other weekend required | No on-call coverage.

Position Overview & Clinical Scope:
A county long-term care and skilled nursing facility in western New Hampshire is seeking a Temporary Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for night shift coverage. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), the LNA delivers direct basic nursing, personal hygiene, and restorative care to residents in accordance with established care plans.
Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties:
Personal Hygiene & Direct Care: Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, skincare protocols, feeding, hydration, toileting, bowel/bladder training, and intake/output monitoring.
Mobility & Restorative Nursing: Assist residents with ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, turning, positioning, and safe patient transfers.
Clinical Observation & Communication: Attend change-of-shift reports; promptly report significant changes in resident condition, environmental hazards, equipment needs, or performance issues to charge nurses.
Resident Safety & Rights: Maintain a safe environment by responding to falls, redirecting confused or wandering residents, following emergency protocols, and protecting resident privacy and rights.
Infection Control & EMR/Care Plans: Maintain strict infection control techniques, adhere to individualized Resident Care Plans, and maintain resident confidentiality.
Unit Floating: Must be willing to float to other nursing units within the facility as operational needs dictate.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements
Experience & Certifications:
Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of current LNA/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility [REQUIRED].
State Licensure: Active New Hampshire LNA License or valid Compact Nursing State License [REQUIRED; must be active at submission].
Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED; document upload required].
Preferred Background: Previous travel contract experience and experience in small/rural facilities [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
