Qualifications:- Provide illness care, first-aid care, food allergies, seizures, asthma, orthopedic concerns special needs students and basic emergency care to students according to the policies and procedures of the school district
- You will need to have a Bachelor' s Degree in Nursing and a current Illinois Registered Nurse License. (Professional Education License with an endorsement in School Nursing)
Role Overview:As a School Nurse (RN) you will, provide primary health care and emergency services to students and staff, promote wellness, and serve as a health resource within the school community. This role supports student success by addressing health-related barriers to learning.
Job Details:- Schedule: Full time M-F (37.5 hours/week)
- Dates: August 6, 2026 October 23, 2026 (Leave of Absence)
- Hours: Monday - Friday 745am - 345pm daily with a 30-minute paid lunch
- Setting: EC-12 ages
- This is a float position will be assigned as needed to any of the D205 school
Estimated Caseload: varies per assignment - In-person only
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide first aid and emergency care.
- Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.G., asthma, diabetes, seizures).
- Conduct contact tracing and illness follow-ups.
- Support individualized health plans for students with special needs.
- Maintain accurate student health records.
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies.
