Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturing facility in Copley, Ohio, is seeking a dependable Loader to join their operations team. This position is perfect for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industrial environment.

Support daily manufacturing, logistics, and distribution activities while maintaining strict compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards. As a Loader, you will be responsible for safely handling the loading and unloading of chemical products and raw materials, coordinating logistics, supporting plant operations, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks including industrial piping work. Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Pay:
$24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties safely and in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Load and unload railcars and trucks to support production and shipping schedules, mostly outdoors
  • Determine proper loading levels using outage tables; verify product, quantity, and specifications
  • Move railcars as needed for loading and unloading operations
  • Assist drivers and outside carriers during loading and unloading activities
  • Receive inbound deliveries, verify materials against packing slips, and forward documentation
  • Maintain housekeeping in loading areas, containment zones, and plant spaces, including pumping down containment pads
  • Coordinate drum loading needs with plant leadership
  • Fill, label, palletize, wrap, store, and stage drums according to product and regulatory requirements
  • Transport empty drums to loading areas and move finished pallets to storage
  • Prepare drum orders for shipment; load onto carriers with accurate bills of lading
  • Complete bills of lading and packing slips accurately
  • Support basic plant and equipment maintenance tasks, including piping work and basic welding following safety procedures

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in a chemical or industrial plant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling, PPE, lockout tagout, and safety practices a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Forklift experience required
  • Manlift or bobcat experience or certification preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear respiratory protection
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts
  • Pipefitting and welding experience or willingness to learn on industrial piping preferred

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Industrial piping knowledge and basic welding skills
  • Mechanical or industrial background with a willingness to learn pipefitting and welding

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Prior experience in chemical or industrial settings is preferred
  • Certifications in forklift, manlift, or bobcat operation are a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to work on-site at the Copley, Ohio location
  • Willing to adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs routinely
