Now Hiring: Order Loader Location: Houston, TX | 77051 Pay: $17/hour Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available
Openwork is currently seeking several dependable Order Loaders for a well-established company in Houston. You will conduct day-to-day activities pertaining to burning(shrink-wrap), loading products for the shipping department, burning loading material correctly and in efficient manner. Effectively delegate workload to department personnel, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Ensure designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, cranes, hand tools, etc.).
Effectively communicates with department supervisors.
Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances.
Ensure all material is protected from potential damage that could occur during transit.
Packages material securely.
Utilizes Pick Ticket information to accurately verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.
Properly match shipments to the loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material.
Photographs loaded product (photo verification).
Properly fills out information required on pick-ticket and accompanying forms.
Attend safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Duties are not limited to those described above and may be expanded as needed.
Qualifications:
Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
1+ years PVF industry experience.
Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
Ability to drive forklift and secure certification.
Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support.
Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.
Takes initiative and can work independently.
Requires a high level of attention to detail.
Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
