Loader:Our client in Medina is hiring a Loader for a contract opportunity. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded workers who can handle physical work and keep a steady pace in a fast-moving shipping environment.
In this role, you will help load finished bedding products for delivery by removing units from the conveyor and organizing them inside a trailer based on the shipping order. Hours:- Start time: 6:00 AM
- Typical end time: 2:00 PM (end time may vary and shifts may run up to 12 hours)
PayKey Responsibilities:- Remove mattresses and foundations from the conveyor/bagging area and move them to the loading dock using a wheeled cart
- Load units into a semi-trailer based on the delivery schedule (first deliveries loaded last)
- Verify product tags match the load number and confirm tags are scanned
- Place units upright in the trailer per shipping order and organize by stop sequence
- When needed, lift and place units horizontally across upright units to maximize trailer space
- Complete daily safety checks, including dock safety inspections, trailer inspections, and forklift checklists
- Maintain and clean the work area, keeping it clear of finished goods, supplies, and scrap materials
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements:- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow safety rules and procedures
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions)
- Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:- 1+ year of manufacturing experience (preferred)
Preferred Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience is desired
Other Requirements- Ability to lift up to 250 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment
- Continuous pushing and pulling when loading units into the trailer
- Frequent overhead lifting, pushing, and pulling when stacking units to maximize load space
