Farnsworth Group is seeking a Loan/Grant Facilitator in one of the posting locations below. In this role, you will be part of the Civil Engineering Section that provides design services to municipalities for infrastructure projects related to water, wastewater, parks, streets and sidewalk/trail improvements. This team member would help lead the process of securing and administering the State Revolving Loan program for the municipal projects.

Another component of the position will also help support identification and application for grants as found relevant for local government units, public entities and non-for-profit groups. Loans/Grants pursued may be through Federal and State Governments and may include IEPA, US Corp of Engineers, DCEO, IDOT, IDNR, State and Federal legislatures and others.

What You'll Do:

  • Administration and completion of loans/grants and IEPA State Revolving Loans
  • Technical writing working with Engineers on the technical aspect of the application
  • Client interaction to secure necessary information and approvals.
  • Compiling of technical and administrative documents for the application
  • Working with Agencies and internal staff to submit timely, complete and competitive applications
  • Assist in the monitoring of loan and grant status timelines.
  • Close out of loans/grants
  • Documentation of the application process and lessons learned to be used for future grant opportunities to share with the team.
  • Screening projects to match needs with funding opportunities.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related fields.
  • Applicable experience related to administration of government funded grants and/or loans is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with the process for IEPA State Revolving Loan Program preferred
  • Must be an independent worker with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with external clients and internal departments required
  • Experience presenting grant applications in front of municipal boards and councils preferred

Salary Range: $55,000-84,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
