Job Description
A financial services company in Connecticut is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant for a contract role with their team in New London County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
- Setting: Hybrid (4 days per week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Mortgage Loan Officers with document collection and member follow-up by phone and electronically
- Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and required supporting information
- Help progress mortgage applications through the credit review process
- Respond to member inquiries regarding documentation and basic mortgage-related questions
- Provide backup support to loan officers and maintain accurate, organized records
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of customer service, retail, call center, administrative, or other high-volume service experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented setting
- Reliable, coachable, and professional approach to member service
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Mortgage lending experience
- Banking experience
- Experience supporting Loan Officers or processing financial documentation
- Banking experience
