Loan Operations Manager | Credit Union | Houston Area
Looking for a strong lending leader to oversee direct and indirect loan operations while managing and developing a high-performing Loan Department team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day direct and indirect lending operations, underwriting support, workflow management, quality control, and issue resolution.
Serve as a senior underwriter with approval authority across consumer, mortgage/home equity, direct, and indirect loan products.
Coach, mentor, and develop Loan Officers and lending staff through ongoing training, performance management, and career development.
Partner with executive leadership to develop lending programs, improve processes, and drive strategic initiatives.
Monitor loan portfolio quality, underwriting decisions, production trends, and sales performance.
Analyze lending metrics and prepare monthly reports using Excel.
Collaborate with Operations and Marketing on product promotions and member growth initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all lending regulations, policies, and procedures.
Resolve escalated member and lending issues while maintaining exceptional service standards.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
5+ years of lending experience including consumer, mortgage/home equity, direct and indirect lending.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong underwriting, loan operations, and portfolio management experience.
Proven ability to coach teams, improve performance, and drive cross-selling initiatives.
Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
NMLS eligibility required.
