What You'll Be Doing:

The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting key operational functions within the loan department, with a focus on documenting Stifel Pledged Asset (SPA) loans and assisting with SBA-related processes. This role also contributes to daily balancing, audit support, and special projects as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Prepare and document SPA loan packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
• Assist with daily morning balancing procedures to maintain accurate loan system records.
• Support the payoff of SBA Pools, particularly during the last two weeks of each month.
• Collect and compile data in response to internal and external audit requests.
• Provide operational support for special projects and departmental initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum Required: 1+ years of experience in loan operations, banking, or financial services.
• Familiarity with SPA or SBA loan processes is a plus.

Licenses & Credentials:

• Minimum Required: None.

Systems & Technology:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
